Your private tour guide will pick you up from your Zhangjiakou hotel at 8:00am, then begin to explore Tian’anmen Square, home to the National Museum of China, and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes. Pass through the south gate to the magnificent 250-acre complex of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the imperial palace from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located in the middle of Beijing, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.
Then heading north to the Badaling Great Wall. On the way you will make a short stop at the iconic “Birds’s Nest” for photos.
Stop at a local restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will explore the most popular section of the Great Wall at Badaling. The Badaling Great Wall is one of the most important part of the Great Wall, this Great Wall was attached with great military importance. An old Chinese saying tells the crucial position of Badaling: if one man guards the pass, ten thousand cannot get through. The highest point of Badaling Great Wall is Beibalou, approximately 1,015 m above sea level. Upon arrival, you will take the cable car up to the highest point where you can overlook the entire area and take some nice photos. You will spend 2 hours hiking on the Wall.
After the tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Zhangjiakou
