Private 3-Day Guilin City Tour

Meet your tour guide at hotel lobby at the appointed time in the morning. Your tour guide will call you or leave a message the night before your tour to confirm pick-up time (usually around 8:00 am).

It takes about 1 hour to drive to Li River pier (Mopanshan pier) from downtown. The boarding time is scheduled at 9:30 am, and the whole journey takes about 4 hours. Embark and enjoy your Li River cruise to Yangshuo. Li River, situated in Guilin City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a bright pearl on the list of China’s tourist attractions and it is the highlight of sightseeing tour in Guilin. The 83-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is the masterpiece of Li River, decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and lined bamboos which is just like enjoying a melodious symphony. Hanyu vividly described the enchanting beauty of the Lijiang River in his poem: The River looks like a blue silk ribbon, and the mountains resemble emerald hairpins”.

A Chinese lunch box is offered on board by the cruise company.

Disembark at Yangshuo (Longtoushan pier) in the afternoon (1:30-2:00pm). Have a short exploration of the old town. Yangshuo West Street is a place where you will find a lot of unique shops selling traditional handcrafts, hand-made scarfs, snacks of local flavor etc. There are some optional activities available, such as cycling, bamboo rafting, watch an impression show and etc.

Transfer back to your hotel in Guilin.

Day 2  Longji Terraced Field (Lunch)

Be met at 8:30 at your hotel and transferred to Longsheng County at about 11:00. Have lunch at a local restaurant in the Village. The Rice Terraces in Longji village show a picture of great momentum and imposing beauty, being reputed as having no match in the world. Longji Rice Terraces are reached from Guilin by mountain roads amid spectacular scenery. With a history of more than 700 years, the area is still being used for growing premium quality rice by Yao and Zhuang villagers. The rice terraces are built into the hillsides and look like great steps cut into the slopes as they wind around the mountainsides. This ingenious construction makes best use of the scarce arable land and water resources in the mountainous area.

Among the terraced fields there stands two villages – Ancient Zhuang Village and Ping’an Village. Hike among the terraced fields for about 3 hours. You will see the two most famous scenic spots- “Seven Stars around the Moon” and “Nine Dragons & Five Tigers”. Also have a chance to see the local Yao Minority Women’s Long Hair Show (optional with extra charge) before being transferred back to your hotel in Guilin at about 18:00.

Day 3  Guilin (Lunch)

Pick you up from your hotel in the morning. First you will visit Reed Flute Cave, known as “the Palace of Natural Arts”, which holds a great number of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites in different shapes. Then go sightseeing at Elephant Trunk Hill – the landmark of Guilin. The hill looks like a giant elephant drinking water from the river with its long trunk. Not far from it stands the Fubo Hill. There are lots of rock stone carvings and Buddha statues since Tang Dynasty. Enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Guilin city if you climb to the summit. Then visit the Seven-star Park. The park is named after the Seven Star Mountain, where there are seven peaks just like the stars falling from the sky. It is a micro version of Guilin scenery. Be transferred to your hotel after the tour.
