Day 1 Luoyang
Upon your arrival in Luoyang, our English-speaking guide will pick you up at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. After a short rest, your Luoyang 2 days tour itinerary starts from the Longmen Grottoes. Densely scattered along the cliffs on both banks of Yi River, Longmen Grottoes is one of the four great grottoes in China. The construction started from 493 AD of the Northern Wei Dynasty when Emperor Xiaowendi moved the capital to Luoyang and lasted for more than 400 years. Now there are 2,345 caves with 2,680 statues, over 70 stupas and 2,680 inscribed stone tablets.
Then proceed to the Musuem of Royal Chariot and Horse Pits. It is the accessory pit of an imperial tomb of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (about 2,200 to 2,700 years ago), exhibiting the remains of 2 sets of ancient chariots and horses and one of the chariots was drawn by six horses abreast. We intend to leave the lunch on your own and our guide is pleased to offer you some suggestions on the restaurants.

Day 2 Departure from Luoyang
After a rich breakfast at the hotel, we will take you to Dengfeng City, where you will visit the world famous Shaolin Temple. It is situated in Songshan Mountain, about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) west of the city. As the most reputable and longest standing temple in China, its main scenic spots include the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Grand Hall, the Sutra Depository, Hall of Thousands of Buddha and the Pagoda Forest.
The temple is the birthplace of Shaolin Kung Fu – the treasure of Chinese martial arts, so we arrange you to enjoy a marvelous Kung Fu performance in the temple. After that, you also get a chance to study Chinese Kung Fu at the nearby Martial schools for around one hour. After ending your Kung Fu tour, we will transfer you back to Luoyang Railway Station to see you off. Have a nice trip!
We could also arrange the transfer service to Zhengzhou Airport or Railway station after the 2 days Luoyang tour if you would like to depart from Zhengzhou, which is 90 kilometers (56 miles) away from Shaolin Temple. You may contact your tour operator for the details in advance.
