5 Days Kunming & Shangri-La
Day 1 Arrival in Kunming
When your flight lands at Kunming, our professional local guide will wait for you at the arrival hall of the airport. If you arrive by train, our guide will meet you at the exit of the railway station. Then, you will be transferred to the arranged hotel. Later, start your Kunming Shangri-La tour at the Green Lake Park. Have a leisure walk and appreciate the fascinating scenery inside the park.

Day 2 Kunming
After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will pick you up at the lobby and take you to Yunnan’s popular scenic spot – Stone Forest. Thanks to the erosion of nature, limestones with diversified shapes have been formed. Later, we will head to a local village of Yi minority – Nuohei Village, where the houses were totally built of stones. When visiting the village, you will learn more about the custom of Yi minority and experience daily life of local people.

Day 3 Kunming – Shangri-La
In this morning, our guide will escort you to the airport for flight to Shangri-La, the next destination of your Kunming to Shangri-La tour. When your flight arrives, our local guide will pick you up at the arrival hall and take you directly to the Songzanlin Monastery. Songzanlin Monastery is the largest Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Yunnan. Most constructions here are built in Tibetan style, which look like a set of old palaces. Moreover, you can also see precious golden Buddha figures here. After lunch, we will leave for Nixi Pottery Village surrounded by green grasslands, in which you may see yaks and sheep. What’s more, we will specially arrange a class for you to make pottery under the guidance of Tibetan artisans, which lasts for around an hour.

Day 4 Shangri-La
After breakfast, you will be led to the Potatso National Park, which is characterized by plateau lakes and green grasslands. Inside this scenic area, we will first arrange a boat tour on Shudu Lake for sightseeing. Around the lake, you can see rolling hills covered by dense forest. The crystal lake offers you a peaceful atmosphere. Later, visit the Militang Pasture nearby, where you can appreciate its picturesque scenery and see some animals, such as yaks, sheep…
Around noon, we will pay a visit to a Tibetan family and taste the authentic local food for lunch at the family. In the afternoon, visit the Dukezong Ancient Town, which is said to be built over 1,000 years ago.

Day 5 Departure from Shangri-La
This morning, our guide will take you to the last stop of your Kunming to Shang-La tour – the Baiji Monastery, a holy place for local worshippers of Buddhism. Moreover, this monastery is a great site to overlook Shangri-La. Then, our guide will transfer you to the airport based on your flight schedule and help you board the plane.
