Pick-up from your hotel in Shanghai around 5:30am and escorted to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station for the bullet D train No.D3002 starting at 06:33am for Wuhan. Arriving at Wuhan Railway Station at 12:39, met by our tour guide in Wuhan. After Chinese lunch, start your half day tour in Wuhan. First visit Yellow Crane Tower and take a lift up the tower for a bird-eye view of the city of Wunan. Yellow Crane Tower is the land mark in Wuhan which has been standing on the top of She Mountain (Snake Mountain) for over 1800 years.
Then move on to Hubei Provincial Museum. Hubei Provincial Museum is a national-level musuem with a huge collection of cultural relics including the world famous Bell Chimes.
At the end of the half day tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Wuhan around 5:30pm.
Picked up from your hotel in Wuhan by our English speaking tour guide and take a 5-hour private transfer to Wudang Mountains, about 436km northwest of Wuhan. Wudang Mountains is a sacred place of Taoism in China, well known for its Wudang martial arts, picturesque views and ancient buildings complex. In December, 1994, Wudang Mountains is listed as World Cultural Site for its ancient building complex, which is dubbed as “China’s successful Ancient Building Museum”.
Today you will first visit Purple Cloud Temple and Taizipo. Then visit South Cliff which is the most beautiful of the 36 cliffs in Wudang Mountains. The South Cliff is one of the scenes selected by the film “Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon”. Stay overnight in Wundang Mountains.
After breakfast, take the local shuttle bus to the platform where you take a cable car up o the top. Beyond the cable car exit is the magnificeent Forbidden City (紫金城), with its 2.5m- thich stone walls. Then move on to the Golden Hall (金殿),constructed entirely from bronze dating from 1416, where you can have a magnificent views.
After Chinese lunch, you will be arranged to watch the martial arts performance at Xiaoyaogu (Carefree Valley) and end your trip to Wudang Mountains. Transferred back to your hotel in Wuhan.
After breakfast, continue to visit Guiyuan Temple. Guiyuan Temple is One of the four largest temples in Wuhan, well known for its 500 arhats. Then move on to Jianghan Road. The walking street of Jianghan is a must for first-time visitors who would like to go window shopping on their short trip to Wuhan. Then walk along Yanjiang Avenue, clustered with a lot of bars and cafes, a hangout for foreigners and local young people.
After early lunch, you are transferred to Wuhan train station to take the bullet train No.D3004 starting at 13:00 for Beijing. Arriving at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station at 19:11 and you will go back to your Shanghai hotel on your own.
