Day 01 Arrival at Dunhuang
Crescent Lake & Sand Dunes Arrival in Dunhuang, met by our representative from Dunhuang and transferred to your hotel in Dunhuang.
After a short break, first visit Crescent Lake, or called Yueyaquan in Chinese. It is a crescent-shaped lake in the oasis, 5 km southwest of the city Dunhuang.
The lake and the surrounding deserts are very popular with tourists.
Then move on to Echoing-Sand Dune – Located 6 kilometers south of Dunhuang city. Singing Sand Hill which is also known as the sand dunes of Mingsha, offers fantastic desert scenery. The dune, surrounded by rolling ridges and precipitous cliffs, reaches a relative height of 250 meters.
Note: You will be arranged to experience an exciting camel-ride along the Echoing-Sand Dune to the Crescent Lake.

Day 02 Dunhuang
After breakfast, visit Mogao Grottoes. Mogao Grottoes are a group of 492 temples 25 km southeast of the center of Dunhuang, an oasis strategically located at a religious and cultural crossroads on the Silk Road. The caves house some of the finest examples of Buddhist art with a span of 1,000 years.
Then visit Dunhuang Museum. It is a local museum for housing the cultural relics that were excavated in the Dunhuang area. Now there are over 4000 historical items contained in the museum. The museum is divided into four exhibition halls. Back to your hotel and free for rest of the day.

Day 03 Dunhuang Yadan National Geopark Yumenguan Pass Dunhuang
After breakfast, you will be arranged to visit Yadan National Gepark and Yumenguan Pass (Jade Gate Pass ). The weird eroded desert landscape of Yadan Park is 180km northwest of Dunhuang in the middle of the awesome zone of the Gobi desert. The unique rock formations in the park developed over a period of 700,000 years. One of the most remarkable sites inthe Dunhuang Yadan National Geopark is the Yadan Ghost Town.
On the way to the Yadan Gepark, you will pass by the Yumen Pass. You will stop to have a brief visit to the ancient military station, 102km from Dunhuang. This pass and the South Pass (Yangguan Pass ) were both the former ancient military passes, part of the Han dynasty series of beacon towers that extended to the garrison town of Loulan in Xinjiang.
Then transferred back to your hotel in Dunhuang.

Day 04 Leave Dunhuang
Today you are free to explore the city on your own. You are transferred to Dunhuang air or train station for your next station.
