Day 1 Arrival in Xi’an: Muslim Quarter & Great Mosque (Lunch)
Upon your arrival, our local tour guide will meet you at the airport/ train station and then take you to your hotel for checking in and a brief rest. After tasting some local food for lunch, start your wonderful Xi’an Tour.
Walking into the Muslim Quarter, you will find yourself surrounded by numerous shopping stuff and local snacks. You may also acquaint yourself with the local Muslim culture while strolling around this area. The Great Mosque in this community has witnessed how Muslim culture blends with Chinese ones – you can feast your eyes with the delicate carvings or buildings styles here. (Visit: about 2 hours in total)
Day 2 Xi’an: Terracotta Warriors – Shaanxi History Museum – Small Wild Goose Pagoda (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast at the hotel, fire up your passion today for the marvelous World’s wonder – Terracotta Warriors! Have you ever imagined what it feels like when facing to thousands of life-like terracotta soldiers who had been guarding their King for over two centuries? (Visit: about 2-2.5 hours)
Then steer your way to the Shaanxi History Museum, where a great collection of over 300,000 artifacts from prehistorical times to modern times is ready for your reading. They are all well preserved and clearly labeled in both Chinese and English for visitors’ convenience. (Visit: about 1.5 hours)
As you have already had so many historical and cultural things today, you may wish to have a peaceful place for meditation – The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is the right place for you. Full of quaintness and serenity, this cultural pagoda embraces you with its Buddhist mercy and grace. (Visit: about 1 hour)
Day 3 Xi’an: Xi’an – Mt. Huashan (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today is all for Mt. Huashan! Located about 120km east of Xi’an, Mt. Huashan is one of the five great mountains in China and is best known for its sheer precipices and the 12km-long winding plank path to its peak. Round-trip cable car is arranged for your convenience. Great hiking adventure plus gorgeous landscapes all around. It may be exhausting, but it will be exhilaratiing and truly worthwhile. Don’t forget to wear a pair of comfortable shoes for the walking.
There is also an interesting custom when climbing Mt. Huashan – “Lock and throw away the key”. Tourists coming to Mt. Huashan will buy a lock and had it engraved with a good luck wish for their family or some special person in their lives, then lock it to the rail chain and throw the key away. It’s believe to work its charm someday. The night will be spent at your Xi’an hotel. Day 4 Xi’an: Ancient City Wall – Departure (Breakfast) Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, and then take a leisure stroll to the Ancient City Wall. This ancient rampart is the best preserved of its kind in China. It’s about 12 meters high and 15 meters wide in the upper part. Rambling around freely, you can feast your eyes with an overview of the city or re-taste your experience at Xi’an and Mt. Huashan. Later of the day, our tour guide will send you to the airport/ train station for your next destination. Wish you have a good memory back home |
