Day 1 Arrival in Xi’an: Shaanxi History Museum – Ancient City Wall (Lunch)
Upon your arrival at this Ancient Capital Xi’an, our local tour guide will meet you at the airport / train station and escort you to the hotel for checking in and a brief rest. After having lunch in a downtown restaurant, set out for your Xi’an tour with Shaanxi History Museum & Ancient City Wall.
Shaanxi History Museum, south of Xi’an city, is a huge modern museum with Tang Dynasty architectural style, housing a marvelous collection of over 300,000 items. Meander among this treasure strove, and read carefully the China History.
After an about 1.5-hour visit at the Museum, spend another 1.5 hours to the Ancient City Wall (Circumvallation), which is the best preserved of this kind in China. The rampart is 12 meters high, with the upper part of 15 meters width. You can stroll freely and leisurely on top, and see the city from above. You can also hire a bike to ride along the City Wall as an optional but wonderful choice (not included in this package).
Later you are free to arrange your own activities. It’s highly recommended to experience the night market at the Muslim Quarter, and taste delicious local snacks as well as the glorious night of Xi’an.
Day 2 Xi’an: Terracotta Warriors – Small Wild Goose Pagoda – The Great Mosque (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast at the hotel, prepare yourself for the fantastic Terracotta Warriors Museum! The 1-hour drive can’t tire you when you have great expectation with you. And the site will never disappoint you!
Thousands of Terracotta Soldiers stand solemnly in the grand excavation site for your inspection. They’ve gone through the trial of time – some still keep their original figures in good shape, some have been repaired, some still get a trace of dye, some have lost their colors… You may even see the professionals busy repairing the broken figures.
Getting out of the Museum and have your lunch; yet you may still be savoring the aftertaste of this ancient miracle. Drive back to the downtown and begin your afternoon trip.
Stroll your hour at the tranquil Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Even you’re not a Buddhism follower, you can still enjoy the elegant environment, exquisite building style and the grand old bell. Following up is the Great Mosque, a fantastic combination of Chinese & Arabic architectural style. It’s still a place of worship for the Chinese Muslims.
At the end of the trip you will be transferred to the airport or train station for your next destination. Hope that your Xi’an trip will leave you an everlasting memory.
