Day 1 Arrival in Jinan
Daming Lake
Daming Lake
Our guide will pick you up at the airport or the railway station and then transfer you to the hotel for check in. It is better that you arrive in Jinan before 14:00 pm. Today, our first destination is Daming Lake – a natural lake with lush willows and gorgeous lotuses. Painted boats row leisurely through the lake back and forth.
When traveling to Jinan, a visit to the spring is a must, for it is a famous “Springs City” boasting hundreds of springs. Our guide will accompany you to Baotu Spring, which tops the list of Jinan’s famous springs and is the earliest to be recorded in history. Water bursts out from the three outlets, creates thunderous sounds and sprays water jets. Here, you can appreciate the ancient pavilions and halls reflecting in the clear water which create a landscape virtually emulating paradise.

Confucius Temple, Qufu
Today, we continue our tour in Qufu. As the hometown of Confucius, Qufu is well known for its Confucian culture and historical relics. You can proceed to visit Confucius Family Mansion, Confucius Temple and Confucius Cemetery with our guide’s company. As the residence for the direct descendants of Confucius, Confucius Family Mansion is a typical complex in China’s feudal era functioning as both government mansion and residential courtyard. Built on the former residence of Confucius, Confucius Temple is a large group of ancient construction second only to the Forbidden City. It is also a great example of Chinese ancient temple, housing many historical relics, especially the stone tablets and inscriptions. Confucius Cemetery is the tomb group of Confucius and his families with the largest area, the longest expansion and the best preservation. After today’s visiting, you will be escorted back to the hotel, the airport or the railway station in Jinan by a comfortable vehicle to end this trip.
