Day 1 Tai’an
On this day, our guide will pick you up at your hotel. Today, you’ll have 4-5 hours’ hiking along the most classic route – Hongmen Route to the top of Mount Tai. Hongmen Route is lined with sights that has been graced with imperial presence and is commemorated with calligraphy. Along the way, you’ll pass Daizong Archway, the Place where Confucius has ever visited, Halfway Gate to Heaven, South Gate to Heaven, Heavenly Street, Jade Emperor Peak etc.
After arriving at the top, check in your hotel and have a rest. Watch sunset of Mount Tai.
Mount Tai: Rising 1545 meters above sea level, it is the most significant of the “Five Taoist Mountain in China”. Considered to be “a Natural Museum of History and Art”, it is a famous place both of Taoism and Buddhism. In history, 72 Chinese emperors came here for worshiping or holding ceremonies of handing crowns. In 1987, together with Dai Temple, Mount Tai was listed as world heritage site.
Day 2 Tai’an Departure (B)
In the early morning, watch the lovely sunrise from the top of the mountain. After breakfast in your hotel, enjoy some leisure time on the top of the mountain, if weather permits, you could have view of Sea of Clouds. Then, Take the cable car and sightseeing bus to the bottom of the mountain.
Later, transfer to Dai Temple. Founded in Han Dynasty, it is the largest and best-preserved architectural complex of Mount Tai. As a Taoist Temple, Dai Temple was a place where the emperor made sacrifice and worship the God of the Mount Tai and pray for peace and prosperity. Dai Temple, in its fame and antiquity, is on a par with the Forbidden City, the Temple of Confucius, Kong Family Mansion and other well-known sites in China.
After tour, be escorted to train station to catch your train to next destination. Service ends!
