Once as the capital of 13 ancient dynasties, Xi’an appeals to the world with its profound history and empire memories, among which the Terracotta Warriors are the best known. This package also leads you to the ancient cultures through visits to Banpo Museum, Qianling Mausoleum, Famen Temple, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Muslim Quarter and the Great Mosque, plus some interesting shows for both knowledge and entertainment.
Day 1 Arrival in Xi’an: Pick-up & Hotel Transfer/Check-in
Upon your arrival, our tour guide will greet you at the airport/train station and escort you to the hotel for checking in. Today is totally free for your own arrangement. You can take a good rest at the hotel, or have a stroll around and take a peek of this ancient city Xi’an.
Day 2 Terracotta Warriors – Banpo Museum – Chinese Dumpling Dinner & Tang Dynasty Show (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The first scenic sopt of this tour is the fantastic Terracotta Warriors. Thousands of life sizes warriors stand in line, just like waiting for your inspection, plus Bronze Chariot and Horse Museum. It would be much more astonishing than you just see them on TV or pictures.
Then move to the Banpo Museum, the first prehistoric excavation site museum in China. Catching a glimpse of the long ago folk culture and social life of the primitive Banpo people via the showpieces such as the tools, major inventions and art items of that time.
Tonight is specially arranged for you – Tang Dynasty Show plus a tasty Chinese Dumpling Dinner! Just indulge your eyes and tongue! This marvelous show vividly reflects the ancient royal singing and dancing of the Tang Dynasty about 1400 years ago.
Day 3 Shaanxi History Museum – Big Wild Goose Pagoda – Ancient City Wall – Muslim Quarter – Puppet Show (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, you will set forth to the Shaanxi History Museum, a huge modern museum in Chinese Tang Dynasty architectural style, with a marvelous collection of over 300,000 items. Meander among this treasure stove, and read carefully the history of Xi’an, and of China.
Follow up is visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist temple built in 652 A.D. You will feast your eyes with the architectural elegance of the Buddhist buildings, sutras and figurines of the Buddha which were brought to China from India by Hierarch Xuangzhang, mostly known for his 16-year pilgrimage to India for the Buddhist culture. Also you will delight in strolling at the Ancient City Wall leisurely, the entire city view presented right in front of you. This Wall is the most well-preserved ancient military defensive systems in the world today, composed of the moat, hanging bridges, battlements, watchtowers, tunnels and parapet. Then you will head for the Great Mosque, which combines Chinese elements with mosque in terms of architectural features. Afterwards, it’s just a short walk to the Muslim Quarter, the main gathering place for the local Muslim community, exotic shops, snacks and souvenirs. In addition, you can enjoy the interesting Chinese folk art at Gao’s Courtyard – the Puppet Show. Day 4 Famen Temple – Qianling Mausoleum & Tomb of Princess Yongtai (Breakfast, Lunch)
