4 Days Travel to Stone Forest and Chengzi Ancient Village
Day 1 Arrival in Kunming
Upon arrival at Kunming Airport, our local professional travel guide will be waiting for you at the luggage reclaim and customs clearance area. A comfortable ride will take you to the first stop of your 4-day Kunming tour package, the well-known Flowers and Birds Market. It is a large traditional trading market for flora, pet birds and antiques as well as handicrafts. There you could have a close encounter with local people’s daily life.
After a leisurely walk at the market, our guide will accompany you to explore the next bustling sight of Kunming, Jinma Biji Square. Characterized by two historical memorial archways, the square nowadays becomes a busy food street and souvenir bazaar, where you could experience the most authentic local snacks like Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle or drop in to some featured workshops to select souvenirs and gifts.
At last, our guide and driver will escort you to the booked hotel and help you with the check-in procedure.

Day 2 Kunming – Shilin
Karst wonder is one of the highlights of this Kunming 4 days tour itinerary, and today you are given a chance to unveil this splendor by visiting Jiuxiang Karst Caves and the Stone Forest. After breakfast, accompanied by our experienced guide and driver, you will take a private car to Jiuxiang Scenic Area. The cave cluster, made up of a great deal of underground limestone formations, is one of the typical karst landscapes with a subsurface river traversing through.
Afterwards, a hearty lunch is arranged for you. The rest of the day is left for you to tour the Stone Forest, about 25 miles from Jiuxiang Karst Caves. As the highlight of Kunming, Stone Forest boasts numerous limestone formations in the shapes of pillars and peaks reaching to the sky. The whole scenic area seems to be a giant gray forest, and our guide will help you to find the best viewing deck for photography.
The whole day’s karst-themed tour is over, and a nearby classic hotel, Yinruilin International Hotel is waiting for your lodging.

Day 3 Shilin – Luxi – Kunming
Kunming’s outskirts inhabit many minority groups, such as Miao and Yi. Today you will leave Shilin and continue your excursion to Chengzi Village in Luxi County by a 1.5 hours’ car ride. It is a mysterious ancient village of Miao dwellers, with a history of thousands of years. Built along the hill slope, the old village has over 600 folk warehouses, forming a peculiar layout. All of them are linked to each other, and the roofs of houses on the lower slope could be served as the playground for dwellers living on the higher slope.
After lunch, our guide and driver would transfer you back to Kunming downtown after 3.5 hours’ driving, and check into the comfortable hotel.

Day 4 Departure from Kunming
Today, your 4-day Kunming private tour comes to an end, and we suggest you arrange an outbound flight in the afternoon. You can seize the morning to get a better glimpse of Kunming at Zhuanxin Farmers’ Market. As a locals’ favorite open fair market, you could find items of various kinds, such as fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood and so on. There you may witness local women bargaining with sellers and feel the pulse of the lively lifestyle of Kunming. Finally, your private guide will escort you to the airport for your onward flight.
