5 Days Tour to Kunming – Dali
Day 1 Arrival in Kunming
Upon your arrival, our experienced tour guide and driver will be waiting for you at the Kunming Airport or railway station, and then chauffeur you to a nice hotel booked by us. After settling down, you will start this Kunming Dali tour package with a visit to the Green Lake Park, which is a fantastic place for locals to hang out as a stunning oasis inlaid in downtown Kunming. In autumn and winter, you will meet thousands of migrant red-billed seagulls straying on the lake, and join the fun of locals by feeding them if interested.

Day 2 Kunming
After breakfast, your trip from Kunming to Dali will be unveiled by a 1.5-hour drive to the awe-inspiring karst wonder of Stone Forest. This maze-like grotesque forest is made up of numerous clusters of stone pinnacles and towers as well as underground caves evolving from 270 million years ago. There are viewing decks for you to capture up-close sight of these wonders, and do not forget to take a picture with the famous stone figure Ashima.
After enjoying a hearty lunch, you will be led to visit the century-old Nuohei Village, an untouched settlement for Sani people (a branch of Yi ethnic minority). Stepping into the village, you would get amazed at their unique folk residences made of rocks and the traditional way of life seen from their costumes and customs. Later, you will be escorted back to your downtown hotel.

Day 3 Kunming – Dali
After breakfast, please get packed and check out of the hotel. Then our guide will send you to the railway station for an onward bullet train ride to Dali. After two-hour rail journey, you will arrive in Dali, and the local guide will pick you up and transfer you to Dali Ancient Town to soak up the laid-back ambience of the old town by wandering along the street-side restaurants, souvenir shops, bars and cafés.
Then our guide will take you to wonder at the elegant Three Pagodas in Chongsheng Temple. Forming a triangle, the Three Pagodas are widely regarded as the symbol of Dali, with a far-reaching history dating back to 10th century. Afterwards, you have a chance to sight-see another natural stunner of Dali, the jade-like Erhai Lake, by a mesmerizing ride on a horse-drawn carriage. Unload the burden and take in the picturesque vistas of the lake. Finally, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in.

Day 4 Dali
Today, Kunming to Dali tour itinerary will be enriched by some off-the-beaten-track attractions around Dali. After breakfast, you will board our private vehicle for a drive of 1.5-2 hours to Weishan County, the home of Weishan Ancient City. Constructed in 1389, the ancient town is the birthplace of Nanzhao Kingdom. Roaming through the old lanes, you could discover an array of architectures of Ming-Qing styles with a layout of a chessboard.
After a short lunch break, move to the Donglianhua Village to explore the traditional folk houses of local Muslims. Among all, the Ma’s Compound is the most representative one where you could not only admire the exquisite wood and brick carvings in the courtyard, but also uncover the ancient horse caravan culture of local people. Then follow our guide to drop by the Donglianhua Mosque to absorb the mixed architecture styles of traditional Chinese courtyard and Islamic images.

Day 5 Departure from Dali
You could seize the time in the morning to visit more places of interest in Dali Ancient Town. Our guide and driver will transfer you to the airport or railway station according to your scheduled flight or train.
